Mini pictures / mobile prints HEMA review

I spotted these little photo's printed by Hema at a friends house. I think they are adorable, so I printed some of my own. 

They are printed on matte thick paper. You can choose four different sizes. I chose the mini square, which are 5,75 x 5,75 cm (approximately 2,25 x 2,25 inch). 

The verdict:

+ They are extremely adorable

+ Since they are so small, the quality of the pictures is relatively good. Perfect for those low quality pictures taken with your phone. 

- They don't come cheap. For €7 per 30 pictures, you pay around 23 cents per photo. 

- Since they are so small, you won't be able to see every little detail of the picture.

Ik zag deze kleine fotootjes van de hema bij een vriendin. Ze zijn zo schattig, die moest ik ook hebben!

Ze worden geprint op dik mat papier. Je kan vier formaten kiezen. Ik koos voor de "mini square" die 5,75 x 5,75 cm zijn. 

Het oordeel:

+ Ze zijn extreem schattig

+ Aangezien ze zo klein zijn, zijn de zeer geschikt voor foto's met een lage kwaliteit zoals geschoten met je telefoon. 

- Ze zijn niet goedkoop. Je betaald €7 per 30 foto's, dat is ongeveer 23 cent per foto. 

- Aangezien ze zo klein zijn, zul je niet alle details van de foto kunnen zien. Dat is soms wel jammer. Je moet dus goed kijken welke foto's voor dit formaat geschikt zijn. 

Creative jumpstarts - layout hexagon love

It already february and I wanted to join the Creative Jumpstarts challenge by Marcy and Stephanie.

 This month the focus of the challange is color! The color scheme consists of blue, grey and yellow. I might have cheated a bit, since I also added some orange (since this coordinated very well with my pictures) and a tiny bit of pink (because no layout is complete without pink).

Het is al weer februari en deze maand doe ik mee aan de Creative Jumpstarts challenge door Marcy en Stephanie. 

De uitdaging helpt je om creatief om te gaan met alle scrapspullen die je al hebt en geeft je nieuwe ideeen. 

Deze maand was de uitdaging om te werken met een kleurenpalet. Deze bestond uit de kleuren blauw, grijs en geel. Ik heb een beetje vals gespeeld aangezien ik ook wat oranje heb toegevoegd (aangezien dit goed met de foto samen ging) en een heul klein beetje roze (want ja, geen pagina is compleet zonder roze).

Artesano Alpaca Silk 4ply - Yarnreview

Artesano is a new yarn brand for me that I recently used for some projects. I used the Artesano Alpaca Silk 4ply in the colours Envy 0961 and Cyclamen 5225. I want to share my experience with this yarn.

Tension: 28sts in 36 rows on a 3 mm needle
Weight: Fingering
Length/Unit Weight: 200 metres/ 219 yards in 50 gram hank
Composition: 70% Alpaca. 30% Silk
Available: This brand is mainly available in Europe, www.artesano.co.uk. I bought mine at my local yarn shop Ja, Wol. 

Like:
+ The material is amazing, alpaca and silk! 
+ The yarn comes in 16 wonderful colours. 
+ It knits a really soft and fluffy fabric.
+ I think this yarn is very suited for shawls, scarfs, hats and mittens.
+ Alpaca is so nice and warm

Don't like:
- It is a bit to expensive for my taste to knit a very big project with this one. 
- You can only hand wash this yarn
- Even though this yarn is very soft, alpaca is not itch free for me. However, this might be due to my sensitive skin.
