Finished Object Bunny Friday

The weather is amazing right now, 19 degrees, sun and no wind, perfect.

After a busy day with a job application and some chores it was time for a wee bit of knitting on the balcony.

A new project is started, but more about that on next Wednesday. Today it is Friday, so I will share a little finished object with you. Do you remember this book I talked about?

I made this little Easter bunny, want to see how he turned out?

Isn't he adorable? I really love how he turned out (smugness alert). He feels right at home too.

He loves to cuddle....

He loves to show his little pom pom tail...

And loves to hang out.

I really had a hard time making this since I never made a knitted doll before, crochet dolls are easy as pie for me. This project required to learn some new techniques.

It took me some frowning and some struggling but I love how soft it is in comparison with crochet work. Crochet dolls are a bit more stiff and this is oooh sooo soft and cuddly. I really start to love knitting more and more, who would have thought?

For the project details check out the project on Ravelry here

Thank you all for visiting and thank you for the many many lovely comments on my Beekeeper's quilt progress. It warms my heart :-).

  1. I managed to get here from Tami's blog!!! Your bunny is sooo cute - I made one a few weeks ago and loved her too although she's definitely chunkier than yours LOL. I love how pretty and light your's is while still looking so snuggly - great FO. Have an awesome weekend xxx

  2. Oh my gosh. He is indeed super adorable. I was like "awww that picture where he's on the fruit!" And then there were more AWESOME pictures ^_^
Looks like he's pretty fun little guy.
And having recently learned to crochet, I'm loving it the more I practice, too- which I never would have expected! They're both great skills. :)

    1. Thanks! It was really easy, he sits on his own! I didn't expect that at all (I thought he would just collapse).

  7. Sitting on the lamp...that cracks me up! Very cute. 19 sounds cold, then I did a dahhhhhhhh, it's C not F. Though I don't know off the top of my head the conversion. Need more coffee to wake up, lol. Pretty flowers, I crocheted on the deck yesterday as well, so seems we're both enjoying the outdoors.

  8. Omigosh, he's adorable. If I had a pompom tail like that I'd show it off too! Knitted toys can get a bit finicky with short rows for shaping and such, but the results can be sooooo beautiful!
