One a day and a FO!

Hi lovelies!

If you're a visitor from the One a day group, welcome to my little blog! Nice of you to stop by.

Well, this is the progress I have been making for my One a Day project. I thought I would cheat and make more than one a day, but unfortunately I have also been working on other projects and this one goes really slow. Good thing I joined the group on Ravelry, otherwise it would now be lying in one of my baskets with WIP's haha.

I still really like the pattern and since I only use one color it's pretty quick. It is also a project that I can easily take with me in the car/train. But the one-color aspect also makes it kind of boring.

So some other projects are necessary to color my world. One of these is the scarf I made for my mom. It is finished and I like it!

This picture isn't showing the colors very well, so I made another picture outside. Well, Mr. L. thought it was a swell idea to put me in the photo with it, but I must say I don't like posing a lot. So it looks a bit awkward haha. Here it goes:

I hope my mom likes it! It is made from this yarn, Scheepjes Highlands and I used this pattern (you have to be a member of Ravelry to open the links, but I think most of you are). The pattern is Japanese, but since they work with charts you can follow pretty well. Once you figure out the symbols it's a piece of cake.

Lots of love to all my lovely followers and visitors that stop by my blog! A lot of sweet comments lately and it warms my heart! Thank you!

  3. Your japanese flower pattern is looking very beautiful, i love how delicate they look..although understandable in only using one colour, but I think it will make you admire the pattern more.

  7. The scarf looks great on you and you are posing very nicely! I know what you mean though, it's like where do you look? What do you do with your hands? How should you stand? I end up photographing mine on a heap on a chair or having my DD model it for me.

Good progress on the Japanese flower pattern too!

  11. Your crochet is coming along nicely! Will it be a blanket or table runner?
I'm sure your mom will love your scarf. Moms are so appreciative of our handiwork.
If you have to pose next time try reading a book or sipping a cup of something on a bench or stairs :O).

  12. Your flowers are looking beautiful! You might be finding them a bit boring to crochet, but they're definitely not boring to look at - I really love them!

And the scarf is gorgeous too, and modelled very nicely by yourself by the way! :)

  15. Oh I don't think the one colour is boring at all- it looks like lovely delicate snowflakes all joined together. I think it'll be very striking when it's finished :) sometimes keeping it simple is the best way to go!
